Author Talk: History of the High Iron Company with Hank Webber

November 8 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Join us as we welcome Author Hank Webber on Saturday, November 8 from 10-3 for an author talk and book signing. Relive the origin of high-speed mainline steam locomotive excursions that started in the Northeast and went beyond. The History of The High Iron Company 1966-1973 is written from a personal perspective, not a technical one, that highlights the people and some of the events that made The High Iron Company the overwhelming success that it was.

An expansive, personalized history of The High Iron Company, leader of more than 80 steam locomotive excursions in the Northeast, including the Golden Spike Centennial Limited round trip from New York City to Utah in 1969. Also, great coverage of NKP 759, other engines, Horseshoe Curve, and much more. This volume includes narrative memories and more than 200 historical photos from those who were there during the height of the HICO steam locomotive excursions.

Limited copies will be available for purchase. To pre-purchase, visit here. Included with museum admission.
