Thanks in large part to the Northampton County Hotel Tax grant from the Northampton County Department of Community and Economic Development received for 2019, the National Museum of Industrial History will implement a regional tourism marketing campaign focused on overall museum awareness as well as exhibits, events and programs that draw interest within the community and beyond.

In an effort to boost visitorship and visibility not only for the Museum, but also for the Greater Lehigh Valley as a region rich in history and recreational opportunities, the National Museum of Industrial History (NMIH) will utilize Hotel Tax grant funding for its strategic marketing efforts outside Northampton County including a variety of community outreach events including the Diocese of Allentown Education Convention, Christkindlmarkt, Musikfest, the Kutztown Folk Festival, Steamtown Railfest, and Rough & Tumble International Harvester Show to name just a few.
